Ryan Pearson Time for a test... I've just returned from the Philippines having dived off Malapascua Island and Moalboal - both in Cebu. Here are some of the gastropods I found on the dives... who can ID the most? :P
Ryan Pearson PS. Not all my finest photo's, and I know there are some double ups :)
Blogie Robillo Nice collection, Ryan! I didn't see #9 in Malapascua...
Franca Wermuth-VezzoliChelidonura varians laying eggs. Bonbon, Romblon Island, Philippines
Blogie Robillo Fascinating. They lay their eggs from up front?
Franca Wermuth-Vezzoli I only just found it in the sea slug forum:
Franca Wermuth-Vezzoli http://www.seaslugforum.net/find/20031 "The white specks are eggs, and the animals are in the process of making their bubble-shaped egg mass which they anchor in the sand with a long mucous thread"
Kati Burg I've seen that also. Looks very interesting. http://www.nudipixel.net/photo/00027492/location/romblon/
Patrik GoodChelidonura varians, Seaway SW Wall, 40mm, 1 metres, 16/4/2012 in darkness on sandy substrate, 25 degree water. The deep clear blue contrasting to the black is just fascinating. Another Algajidae found at the Seaway. Found Chelidonura fulvipunctata on same dive.
Patrik Good Is this a temperate species? It is not on nudibranch.com.au.
Gary Cobb No it is not! We just have not found it here yet. Bum!
Reed Nescher Another from the same location in the Solomon islands....

Anne Diver This is not a flatworm, it is a head shield slug, it looks like Philinopsis gardineri
Reed Nescher Sorry, I thought the Head shield had a curl at the head? I have pictures in the same area of the Head shield, but this seemed different? Thank you.....
Anne Diver Reed, do a Google Image search on Philinopsis gardineri and see if it matches your animal, and see what you think. Without seeing the animal I certainly could be wrong....
Reed Nescher I didn't see the "Flukes" as shown in the images in the search? It was very flat with no apparent "Flukes" so that is why I though Flat Worm....
