Greotti Cesare This alga is called Acetabularia acetabulum. It's formed by an only cell and it reproduces in summer by the breaking of the disc. The disc has rays that in summer swell beacuse of the spore contained in them, and, breaking themselves, they make the spore going out. Reaching the ground, the spore produces gamete that will grow up till it become a cell. We can see the "umbrella" only three years after this happened. (sorry for my bad english guys)
