Porcellanella haigae

Sankarankutty, 1963

EunJae Im Haig's Porcelain Crab (Porcellanella haigae or triloba?). Lembeh strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Canon 7D, 100mm, f/16, 1/250sec, ISO 160, twin s2000.

Ken Thongpila Beautiful Shot EunJae :-)

Jason Isley I'm not a fan of the framing, he is looking out of the shot so your eyes follow his and disappear from the frame to the right. If he was looking the other way, ie towards the negative space then this would be perfect however the negative space is wasted. IMO

Mantaray Lee Good shot!!

Anilao Critters Nice!! :)

Bob Whorton Can anyone ID these two crabz plz?

Scott Gutsy Tuason some sort of porcelain crab ??

Kati Burg Looks like Porcellanella triloba.

Bob Whorton Definitely not triloba sp. as it has 5 loba's :) maybe porcellebella hexiloba :p

Arne Kuilman Porcellanella haigae then?

Kati Burg Is there a good reference for P. triloba and P. haigae? The photos I found in the net just look like one species.

Arne Kuilman Reef Creatures ID book, Ned Deloach and I've used http://www.myreefguide.com/page1/page7/page31/files/page31-1011-full.html and info from Brian Mayes on my photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/arne/5107983210/
