Stefan Follows Don't be shy... First Time out with the Pana 8mm fand having a bit of a nightmare controlling back scatter using a single Inon D2000. Also hard to get even lighting! Any help or suggestions of how to position a single strobe would be gratefully appreciated...Thanks :) Blotched Porcupinefish - Diodon liturosus Chaloklum, Thailand EM5-NAEM5-iso 200-1/125-f4.5 Pana 8mm Inon D2000

Brano Gege you are doing good job. With single strobe it is really hard. Also 8mm is really wide, it is good for coral gardens with ambient light :)

Ian Diver Borrow one of my strobes

Ian Diver Lovely photo buddy. I'm going under the pier shortly if you are about

Stefan Follows cheers Ian for the very kind offer. I'll take you up on that for sure. I went out this morning to take a look at the new artificial reef structures we put down with the DMCR a couple of weeks ago so no pier :( Loads of life already by the way including a pair of Beaded Leatherjackets but 8mm lens Doh!

Ian Diver How long till the macro arrives?

Stefan Follows Ian 4 weeks :( but can use the 12-50mm with diopters till then ;)

Ian Diver I need diopter or wet lend for my macro. I managed to take my camera out today for a play. Going to review them soon

Brano Gege Got SubSee 10x diopter, can borrow if you want. Or better, we will going to dive together, I am making the video of stuff. But no time for editing the videos....raining is coming, so, I hope, there will be some to finish couple of months old work from Lembeh, now coming back from Anilao...

Stuart Pearce Very nice shot, may need 2 strobes with an 8mm :)

Ian Diver do these diopters just clip over the front of the ports? If so are they universal?

Stefan Follows Thanks Stuart :) Your absolutely right about two strobes but just bought the 8mm and the 60mm so another strobe right now would mean a divorce so I'll have to make do ;) Going to take Ian up on his extremely kind offer ASAP!

Brano Gege for flat ports, it should be easy, here is some review http://www.uwphotographyguide.com/reviews-diopters-subsee - it is wet diopter you mount it on top of port, should be 1 size.

Ian Diver pop over any time to pick it up Stefan

Ian Diver or I can bring it to SRD tomorrow if you like

Stefan Follows I'll need to get a new bracket and arm first Ian to hold the second strobe. My existing one is a bit of a cobbled together monster ;) I'll get onto that tomorrow.....(divorce pending!)

Ian Diver lol I have some subal arms but I doubt they will fit

Ian Diver if you can get a split bracket you can use the arms I have i guess

Stefan Follows I'll swing by SRD tomorrow and we can talk nerdy ;)
