Angelo Mojetta Ciao Francesco, bella. Vorrei pubblicare un paio di foto di questa specie sulle mie pagine della rivista Natura. Mi scrivi al mio indirizzo?
Grazie.
Angelo
Francesco Pacienza Grazie, Angelo Mojetta. Ti ho mandato un'email.
Bert Stankowski Spaceship of Battle Star Galactica LOL
Bert Stankowski great foto
Francesco Pacienza Thank you, Bert Stankowski. Spaceship or space alien. :)
Bert Stankowski anyway, most underwater animals are (looks) from "another space", isn't it?
Blogie Robillo Is this Melibe viridis, maybe a juvenile? Or a different species altogether? Spotted it in less than 5m of water (Talikud Island, Davao, PHL). Measured about 5cm long.
Carl-Johan Nilsson Looks like a Melibe sp. Did it have the hood?
Blogie Robillo Yup, it did, Carl-Johan. In the photo, it's that rightmost thingie.
Antonio Colacino La Maddalena Isle-Mediterranean sea-North Sardinia, during a night dive last septemr-Melibe viridis, first time seen in this area-Depht 3.5 m
Ron Silver The wonders of an oral veil :-D
Blogie RobilloMelibe viridis, right Ron? Saw one catch a shrimp with that oral veil!
Ron Silver Yes, made it to the Mediterranean thru the Suez Canal!
Antonio Colacino Picture taken during a night dive, the animal was feeding filterig the sand.
Ron Silver It is a lot of fun to watch this very odd nudi feed
Blogie Robillo Yeah I think it's M. viridis. I have a video of this nudi capturing a shrimp with its oral veil. Check it out: http://www.scubadavao.com/2012/08/gotcha/
Roy Arthur David Lontoh that's awesome Blogie :)
Blogie Robillo It sure is, Roy. I was very lucky to have caught that on video!
Orietta Rivolta Melibe papillosa
Philippi,1867
Lembeh - Indonesia
Orietta Rivolta The species is right?
Roy Arthur David Lontoh Great findings Orietta....great findings! :)
Orietta Rivolta Gary can you confirm this species?
Ken Thongpila Nice one Orietta Rivolta.. Love to see this one..
Gary Cobb I think this is Melibe viridis Kelaart, 1858. This species has cerata are flattened with cone-shaped pustules on them, and their apices are bluntly rounded.
Gary Cobb I am pretty sure Melibe papillosa is a synonym of M. pilosa, Pease, 1860
