Alvaro Borba I believe it is a specimen oj
Thysanozoon brocchii
Coral reef of Ponta Verde beach
Maceió - Alagoas - Brazil northeastern
João Pedro Silva It reminds a bit one of the last specimen I've photographed in Berlengas, Portugal:

But I've seen many variations here in Portugal and I'm not even sure if there may be more species involved.
Alvaro Borba I also noticed two variations, but do not know if it can be more than one species or morphological variations only due to size
Alvaro Borba Woooohhh Very different your specimen!
João Pedro Silva I've many variations, some pale, some darker, some even with pink hues.

Alvaro Borba Very very interesting!
I believe the solution would be a beautiful work of Bio molecular
Juliana Bahia Hi, my doctorate project includes just this! Biomolecular work on this species. Can you collect? It would be wonderful to have as many variations as possible.
Alvaro Borba Sure!
Your work is just to T. brocchii?
Or you need more some species?
Congratulations! I'm sure it will be a beautiful work
Juliana Bahia No, my work includes about 10 species with broad distribution or confusing morphotypes. If you find Phrikoceros mopsus, Thysanozoon cf. brocchii, Pseudoceros bicolor/rawlinsonae, Pseudobiceros evelinae, Armatoplana leptalea, Phaenocelis medvedica, and even Enchiridium evelinae... And can collect, I would ne Very gratefull and we can work in collaboration.
Audrey Falconer Juliana, are you interested in Thysanozoan possibly brocchii from south eastern Australia? All specimens are photographed alive and then preserved in 96% ethanol.
Juliana Bahia Audrey Falconer, I am very interested! My doctorate is in Germany, is it possible to send it here?
Audrey Falconer Juliana Bahia, let me finish sorting through photos - once I've done that you can see which ones look interesting to you. You will have to borrow them from Museum Victoria, so you will need to be affiliated with a museum or other organisation at your end. Unfortunately it is a condition of my collecting permit that all of my specimens end up in Museum Victoria.
Juliana Bahia Hi, thank you a lot ! I will see the images and see which ones should be interesting. I am at the Zoologische Staatssammlung München, a museum. I´m sending you a private message.
