Eurylepta cornuta

(Müller OF, 1776)

Rudolf Svensen Anybody knows this one? I guess it is a kind of ribbon worm. I met it on a night dive tonight close to Stavanger on the South-West coast of Norway. It was about 30-40 mm long and moving quite fast across the sand.

Erling Svensen I have a feeling this must be Eurylepta cornuta. May be some expert can confirm it?

David Fenwick Snr Here's a better image of the flatworm from Penzance. Is it Eurylepta cornuta?

David Fenwick Snr Done some more work on this and it looks to be Oligocladus sanguinolentus, pretty sure of this now and it checks out using Hayward and Ryland.

David Fenwick Snr A friend and I have looked into this in more detail now and we are both in agreement on looking at Lang that my first opinion Eurylepta cornuta is possibly the most likely species here.

João Pedro Silva Also having some doubts on Prostheceraeus moseleyi vs. Eurylepta cornuta.

João Pedro Silva Carles Novell i Fernando's PhD thesis shows very distinct colour morphs for Eurylepta cornuta: http://www.tdx.cat/bitstream/handle/10803/781/Tesis.PDF?sequence=1
