Ian Diver Lovely shot! I'm looking to get a wet diopter for my 105 subal port can you advise me on the sea &sea ones do they fit the port well? I have zero experience with them at all at the moment
Ian Diver Just realised you are talking about strobes ignore my last comment unless you know that is.
Marco Paravella hello, I have a diopter to be added outside the 105, on the porthole. + 6 diopters are but mine is made by hand. Hi Ian Diver.

Octopus vulgaris in the top of the world
Paula Lightfoot Thanks everyone who came on the Farnes and Berwick (and Eyemouth!) dives and thanks Nicola Faulks and Steve Mustow for organising! I had a lovely time despite leaky drysuit, broken down boat and freeflowing reg (thanks to Hubert Desgranges for fixing it)!! Thought I'd share this photo as it's a 'first' for me on a UK dive! :o)
Anne Morrison Sounds like one of my dives!!
David John Wightman sounds like you all had a very eventful day. am looking forward to seeing the rest of the photos.
June Coomber This is a great photo Paula. I have seen three octopus during my UK dives and I am always amazed who their colour is more attractive then the ones I have seen abroad.
Simon Parker I wonder if they are more common later in the year. I was there in July and only saw a dead one. I've been in October in the past and seen 3 on one dive!
Jon Chamberlain Here's one Dawn found the day before:

Simon Parker Aren't these Lesser Octopus (Eledone cirrhosa) rather than Common Octopus (Octopus vulgaris)?
Bernard Picton I think Jon is right. Octopus vulgaris is rare in the UK, only south coast.
Bernard Picton Dawn Watson, here's an Octopus vulgaris, from Sagres in Portugal.

Bernard Picton Oh, I should have said Simon's right, Eledone has those lovely curled ends to the tentacles.
