Callionymus lyra

Linnaeus, 1758

Tine Kinn Kvamme Cuckoo wrasse giving me lip :) (Labrus mixtus) Drøbak, Norway Canon G12 in Canon housing, internal flash + buddy´s torch.

Cameron Easton Tine - the head shape, eye position and slightly flattened body make me think this is a male European Dragonet Callionymus lyra. The wrasse has a deeper body and a more pointed face.

Frank Nelissen Really nice one Tine! Amazing eyes...

Ron Silver European species are not my strong point, but I agree with Cam.

Tine Kinn Kvamme You are absolutely right Cameron. I´ve gotten some wrong info on this one and didn´t check it before posting. European species are not my forte either, been diving more in Thailand than Norway :) Thanks for correcting me :)

Giorgio Cavallaro (Y)

Cameron Easton Still a nice photo though!!!

Ron Silver Do you have any photos with the dorsal fin(s) displayed?

Tine Kinn Kvamme No, Ron. But I think that would be a nice one :)

Giorgio Cavallaro Nice (Y)
