Sphyrna lewini

(Griffith & Smith, 1834)

Steve Rosenberg I just returned from working on my ebook project in the Galapagos Islands. I had almost forgotten how much I love this destination. This image of a scalloped hammerhead, Sphyrna lewini, was taken during a ride off the backside of Darwin's Arch in a bit of a nasty current. Nikon D300, Tokina 10-17

Andy Wallace How'd you get that close? They were killing me when I was there... can only hold my breath for so long... 8-)

Steve Rosenberg I often use that best of all techniques for shooting hammerheads in low vis....luck!

Marco Paravella super shot
