Sylvie Omnès Barb Rosenthal : this is Lophius Piscatorius, common Monkfish ;@Steve Smith : to have a chance to see it you have to dive in temperate seas : this fish likes cold water ; we can sometimes see them in winter in Méditerranée, when the sea is under 13-12°C; the rest of the time, it lives very deep ... and you have to keep your eyes wide open because it is really mimetic on rocks. the lure is the best way to find it ! ;-)
