Bugula simplex

Hincks, 1886

Erling Svensen Do any of you know this one? Stavanger, Norway, 15 meter.

Peter H van Bragt Bicellaria ciliata???

Marco Faasse Is it new to the area? It looks like Bugula simplex, which tends to be yellowish and mainly occurs in/near harbours etc.

Erling Svensen I do not know if it is new, Marco. I do not really take pictures of bryozoens as they are so difficult to classify.

Erling Svensen ..... and yes, it is close to a harbour.

Marco Faasse This is Bugula simplex from The Netherlands:

Erling Svensen Yes, I think you are right, Marco. Thanks.

Marco Faasse In case it is B. simplex biologists studying exotic species in Norway would probably be interested to know this.
