Caridion steveni

Lebour, 1930

David Fenwick Snr Is this Caridion steveni? Not a species I'm familiar with. Body length about 20mm long. Lowershore, south of Newlyn, Cornwall, this afternoon. Thanks everyone.

David Fenwick Snr Telson: Is this 2 pair of lateral spines and one terminal pair; or 3 pairs of lateral spines?

David Fenwick Snr Rostrum

David Fenwick Snr Thank you C├ędric d'Udekem d'Acoz, I heard this morning that the species has been recorded quite a few times in Plymouth Sound, so it is about down here. Probably quite local. One thing's for sure, I'm going to be checking the number of spines on the rostrum of any red prawn I find in the future.
